Dubai Creek Pre-Owned Boat Show 2011
Nearly 6500 visitors made their way through the gracious Dubai Creek Marina for the second ever Dubai Pre Owned Boat Show sponsored by Midex Airlines. The Dubai Pre Owned Boat show showcased 85 boats to the value of 55 million, ranging from 25ft. to 88ft. and from AED 30,000 to AED 22 million.
Speaking on the event’s attainment, Mustafa Al Hashimi, Club Manager of Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, said: “Following the successful debut of the Dubai Pre Owned Boat show last year we are thrilled to see that this year’s event has surpassed the last. The show was eagerly received by not only boating enthusiasts from around the region but many families from the local community”.
As a first time exhibitor at the Pre Owned Boat Show, Al Marakeb Boat Manufacturing Company, a young boat manufacturer from Sharjah, specializing in motorized speed, fishing and luxury boats, as well as custom-designed boats, brought along two vessels from their 2011 catalogue, the Dino31 and Spartan25. Both vessels attracted several hundreds of people from the region with their well-designed yet modern and simple finishing off appearance.
The Dino31, a 31ft. boat, recently added to their fleet, made its first ever public debut during the Pre Owned Boat show. Starting off as a simple yet spacious boat, the Dino31 provides the capacity to take out a group of people on fishing or leisure excursions with its vast and comfortable seating arrangement, and large storage compartments. By the second day of the show this 31ft. vessel was snatched of the market for its modish yet effortless “look”.
Accompanied by the Spartan25, a 25ft vessel corroborated to be a favorite by many looking to buy an inexpensive boat for fishing and water sports excursion. A very basic unit that had a Trailer, GPS, Canopy and Engines added to its basic specifications still left this vessel with plenty of room for added options, a very affordable price tag, and is suitable for both beginners and long-time boat owners. This 25 footer surely wasn’t a second option of the day.
Despite the merriment of the occasion, business remained a key focus and the event proved to be a phenomenal success.
